  • Notes
    • According to the journal of Ruth Sharpe, one of his granddaughters, "Tine" was of the Baptist faith and was a choir leader at Mt. Zion Church for 40 years. He and Margaret Jane Spoon eloped because they were "kin" and both families refused to recognize their marriage. It was not until Jesse Page Spoon was born and appeared to be a "normal" child that all was well again.
