Photos		Col. Thomas Spoon's house This house, in which Col. Tom Spoon raised his family in the 1930s and '40s, is still standing, although it is barely visible behind heavy brush at the side of Spoon Loop in Alamance County, NC
		A room inside Col. Tom Spoon's house Not much is left intact inside the house, which has been ransacked over the years.
		Barn outside the "new" Col. Tom Spoon house This barn stood (barely) for years down the road from Col. Tom's original house on Spoon Loop at the site of his later home. Spoon's descendants still live there. The barn was torn down in 2007.
